Public Paranormal Investigation of Historic Burrowes Mansion

OCTOBER 2009
Public Investigation of Burrowes Mansion with TSI
Matawan, NJ

On October 30, 2010, TSI was thrilled to participate in an unprecedented event in conjunction with the Matawan Historical Society: For the first time ever, the historic Burrowes Mansion in Matawan, NJ, opened its doors to allow a public ghost hunting investigation of this historic structure. Proceeds from the event benefited the Matawan Historic Society.

The Mansion, which was built in 1723 (that's not a typo: it was really built in 1723), would eventually become the site of an intense event relating to the Revolutionary War.

Attendees at the event were given access to investigate both of the main floors with us, as well as the attic, which is normally not open to the public. The event also included presentations by the Matawan Historical Society about the history of the mansion and by TSI about paranormal investigating.

TSI was honored to be leading this guided paranormal investigation of Burrowes Mansion. As of October 2010, we had investigated the Mansion twice and we believe the location to have paranormal activity. Evidence we collected on those investigations will be included on our Investigations page.
