So you want to join a ghost hunting group in New Jersey? We thank you for your interest in becoming part of the TSI Paranormal Research & Investigation team!

Here are a few new member guidelines to think about before filling out the membership form to join TSI:

· You must have your own transportation
Our paranormal investigators are based in central New Jersey and our area of coverage has included New Jersey (particularly central NJ in Monmouth County, Mercer County, and the Jersey shore areas), eastern Pennsylvania and Philadelphia, and Staten Island. (So Philadelphia and eastern PA residents, we want to hear from you, too!) We try to carpool when possible, but it is necessary that you have a driver's license as well as your own reliable transportation.

· Long hours
Most of our investigations take place on Saturday or Sunday nights and typically begin around 9pm and may last until at 5am or later.

· Flexible schedule
In addition to Saturdays and Sundays, we occasionally do investigations on weeknights. While you are not required to attend every investigation, we prefer to bring in new members who can be at least a little flexible with their schedules.

· Evidence review
Every member of the investigation team is required to review evidence - whether or not they participate in the investigation - which may include multiple digital voice recorders and/or digital videos. This evidence must be reviewed in a timely manner and is done in "real time" (i.e., no fast-forwarding, etc., to get through it faster).

This aspect always takes longer than every new member thinks it will. For example, if an investigation lasts 6 hours, at least 15 hours goes into reviewing one piece of equipment; most investigators are assigned at least 2 pieces of equipment per investigation to review. Following the reviews, the appropriate paperwork must be completed and turned in as well.

· Meetings and Events
All members are required to attend team monthly meetings as well as all team-related events.

· Paranormal training is provided (and free)
A previous background in paranormal investigations is not required. We will provide free training for all new members. We are just looking for open-minded individuals with an interest in finding the truth and helping people.

Joining any paranormal group requires an investment of time more than anything else. There's a lot more to being part of a paranormal group than just the investigations. A lot of work goes on before and after an investigation as well and doing only the absolute minimum required just won't cut it in this group. If you're the type of person who is willing to put in the time to do the best job possible in the field of paranormal research, we want to hear from you!

TSI IS CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP. Not everyone who applies is approved for membership.
